Unverified Disney Star Wars Rumors: Rumors from Inside Lucasfilm itself  and the Future of Galaxy’s Edge, the Galactic Star Cruiser and Lucasfilm.

Hello Readers,

It has nearly been one year since we have heard anything official in regards to the Star Wars Galactic Star Cruiser since it shut down last year. While I am hopeful an announcement will be made following a certain Disney Executive at Lucasfilm’s departure in October of this year. This article is complete speculation from confidential sources, who have recently been speaking out on unverified rumors from inside both Disney and Lucasfilm itself and perhaps through this investigation of these rumors and speculation we hopefully will soon receive and announcement date of when The Star Wars Galactic Star Cruiser can possibly reopen.

K.K. VS B.I.

For the last two years I have heard dozens of unverified rumors from online sources, conspiracy groups as well as from acquaintances of acquaintances, acquaintances (through the metaphorical grapevine) who have heard inside scoops on the ongoings and dealings inside of Disney and Lucasfilm and the relationships between two high ranking executives within the corporation, these two will only be named as B. I. and K.K but my readers can possibly safely assume who these two are based on their initials.

According to my Sources K.K. and B.I. have been at odds for years now in regards to the distaste of the priors handling of Disney’s Lucas Film brand which has been met with harsh criticisms and  fan outrage, as the fans were alienated by recent projects. These two entities apparently have been at odds, and according to rumors K.K. isn’t allowed on Lucasfilm property without supervision from a Disney  Employee who is supervising her under B.I. 's orders.

It is my speculation that this may in fact all be a ploy by B.I. to oust K.K. from her role at Lucasfilm as she is seen by many as toxic to the brand of: Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Willow and their parent company Disney.

I first began to take notice of this after the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi(2017)(TLJ), when the first negative response to Disney Star Wars was ever announced. Most fans of Star Wars as many remember were pleased with The Force Awakens(2015) and Rogue One(2016), and were excited to be getting more content, but the Last Jedi was so poorly received by fans that this created a downward spiral for Disney Star Wars and Lucasfilm as a whole. The following Summer following the backlash from the TLJ, Solo: A Star Wars Story(2018), failed to reach the numbers expected at the box office and The Rise of Skywalker(2019) the following December failed to reenergize the fanbase as it focused to hard on fixing the mistakes of TLJ,rather than telling a unique story. From all perspectives, all blame was given to K.K. by both Fans and Executives alike.

This is where we get into unverified rumor territory, my reader. As many know The Mandalorian(2019-) is the first pure respected success that all fans have noticed in a long time, and this was created by showrunners,John Favreau the Director of Iron Man(2008) , and Dave Filoni the protege of George Lucas and Director of the wildly successful animated Star Wars the Clone Wars(2008-2020)series. As argued by Fans Season One and Two of The Mandalorian, were the last great projects created by Lucasfilm and gave hope to Star Wars fans and Disney executives alike. According to some of these unverified sources K.K. was angry at these shows' successes and interfered with the story and continuation of the production of what became known by fans as “the Mando-verse” or “filoni-verse” of star wars. According to these rumors it was K.K. not Favreau, Filoni or Director Robert Rodriguez who decided to emasculate and bring Din Jarin(Pedro Pascal) (The Mandalorian) and Grogu into The Book of Boba Fett(2021) and to fire Cara Dume actor Gina Carano, to prevent the production of the now Canceled Rangers of the New Republic series, just to thwart Favreau and Filoni’s success. We are all certain both B.I. and former Disney CEO Bob Chapek as well as other Disney Executives took notice of this and so they began keeping a closer eye on K.K. as she sabotaged Lucasfilm from within.

The first instance of Disney taking action against K.K. was acknowledged after the underperformance and flop of the Willow(2022) series, which after only a few months on Disney+ was removed from the service by Disney, in an effort to embarrass K.K.  this only continued, as K.K’s projects continued to flop not only in terms of streaming and the box office but in terms of Theme Parks as well.

This brings us to the Galactic Star Cruiser, and why this article is about to make a whole lot of sense.

WARNING: the following is speculation based on unverified rumors and should only be taken with a grain of Salt.

Isn’t it odd that Disney began shutting down all of these projects and the flops kept rolling out while K.K. was losing her battle against Disney and B.I.

The Galactic Star Cruiser according to sources was shut down and according to some sources K.K. was caught off guard and the media was informed of this announcement by Disney prior to K.K who was attending the Cannes Film Festival for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny(2023), when she was informed after the media was and was caught off guard by it the same month as Willow was taken off Disney+?

This isn’t a coincidence at all in my opinion, this was all orchestrated by B.I. to embarrass and influence public opinion of K.K. to affix the narrative and push her out of power at Lucasfilm.

Now let's fast forward to the more recent projects Ahsoka(2023-) which is regarded by the Star Wars Fandoms as a success and the Acolyte(2024), which is regarded as a flop and was recently canceled and why that is.  Ahsoka was produced and Directed by Dave Filoni, who while K.K. has failed, been promoted multiple times and made more and more successful amongst fans and the media. The Acolyte however was K.K and Director/Showrunner Leslie
Headlands, a project which is regarded as a flop, and was canceled due to fan backlash, from “wokeisms” amongst actors, and the production who upset many fans, many calling out the backlash without knowing the facts despite the Acolyte defenders not actually knowing the star wars canon and why fans dislike it to this extent. One criticism was the fact that this show takes place in 132 BBY(Before the Battle of Yavin, how time is measured by fans of the star wars canon for years) this is 100 years before Episode I: The Phantom Menace(1999), and includes a character by the name of Ki Adi-Mundi( Derek Arnold) who was in legends( the name given to everything created for star wars prior to disney’s purchase in 2012) born in the year 86 BBY(in legends) who was uncharacteristically featured in Episode I quoting “impossible the sith have been extinct for a millennium” (while in my opinion this isn’t a criticism that should have been taking as far as it was as I actually enjoyed the spectacle of the Acolyte) this lead to the backlash of fans who rejected the series rather than waiting to make criticisms when the show was completed. By losing the star wars purist fans, alienating other fans with “wokeisms” it is in hindsight no wonder this show failed, but this is a pattern of what failed, within Lucasfilm under K.K’s leadership, as seen in Willow,Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and The Acolyte, where the actors and showrunner make things difficult for the company.

So why doesn’t B.I. just fire K.K, if she keeps failing and putting the wrong people in charge of her franchise?

In 2012 when George Lucas chose K.K. to run Lucasfilm he insisted that a clause be put into her contract that would allow her to stay at Lucasfilm from 2012 until 2021 that was then extended (under Bob Chapek) until October of 2024 and is now being reported to have been extended further until Quarter 2 of 2025(hopefully it ends in October as previously reported).

(Most Probable)WARNING RUMOR: It is speculated that somewhere in K.K’s contract is a clause created by george lucas that either has to do with a severance that would allow K.K. a hefty sum of royalties that is beyond the capability of Disney at this time, due to affordability, with the price negotiated or there is some other contractual issue that Disney cannot get rid of because of it. The Rumor states K.K has an insane clause in her contract going back to the original Sale of Lucasfilm to disney that she cannot be removed even for cause, that even if she loses them money or mismanages the company she can’t be let go and was created by George Lucas himself to make certain that Disney cannot get rid of her unless her contract expires due to the fact that George Lucas put her in charge, to protect his long time loyalist and people who work at Lucasfilm preventing their replacement(but didn’t work out the way George intended). The only way this clause would be nol and void would be a theoretical morals clause: which entails a criminal negligence or immoral behavior.

The reason I see the probability of this is because B.I. has fired people on the spot, and K.K acts like she is untouchable, given that we have seen others fired by B.I. for doing less than K.K. has done.

There are also rumors that there is malfeasance within the “Hollywood Accounting” for the Acolyte, and that B.I’s agents within Lucasfilm right now are seeking to find proof of Immoral or Criminal negligence or behavior within Lucasfilm to oust her sooner.

Therefore B.I and K.K. are in a who can outlast who battle of contract Renewals, if B.I. outlast K.K. under contract renewals grounds. If B.I. is renewed past K.K’s contract, he can choose to not renew her contract and thus be rid of her, and he is utilizing every medium at his disposal to sabotage K.K. and embarrass her in a way to be rid of her without breaking contract, making it so that she leaves on her own accord or she never works in Hollywood again.

(probable) WARNING RUMOR: She has dirt on B.I and Disney Executives and knows something due to her connections at Lucasfilm. This is Hollywood, everyone has dirt on everyone it all depends on how high up you go.

(Most Unlikely )WARNING RUMOR: As reported by other sources that no one else wants to be President of Lucasfilm. ( I disagree cause I think I would love her job, at least then someone who seems to know what fans want will be put in charge) not to mention Favreau, who reportedly has been groomed to be the next President of LucasFilm and has had conversations in regards to his future vision for Star Wars in its entirety across transmedia.

So how does this relate back to the Galactic Star Cruiser?

Due to B.I’s plan to take K.K. out of power at Lucasfilm, he used the Star Cruiser as a way to embarrass her, and the sooner she is ousted at Lucasfilm the sooner, we may hear an announcement on the future of this two night immersive experience returning to WDW, he just needs her to leave of her own accord or not renew her contract in order to reopen it, and this will be announced by Josh D’Amaro, within weeks after K.K departs from Lucasfilm but not until K.K. leaves or her contract is expired and not renewed by B.I.

If The Galactic Star Cruiser does reopen however they best announce or do so soon.

WARNING UNVERIFIED RUMOR: According to a source,The Original Galactic Star Cruiser actors have been in talks with Universal to become Entertainers at Disney’s competitor, and Disney will need to act fast to keep this talent before they leave to Epic Universe.

What of the future of Star Wars and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge following K.K’s Exit?

WARNING UNVERIFIED RUMOR: According to sources John Favreau is supposed to replace K.K and was already asked about his vision for the future of Star Wars. this source claims Favreau, wants to focus on Deep Fake Technology, and bring back Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, with new actors playing them using this Deep Fake Technology, and either voice actors, or the return of Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford, to expand the film franchises and Television series, but he also has a unique vision for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, which i found most intriguing.

According to this source, Favreau made the argument that he wants to retheme star wars Galaxy’s edge to the Original Trilogy (or to the Era of the Mandalorian) and to move away from the failed sequel trilogy and bring beloved Characters into the park. According to the source Disney’s financial/accounting experts claimed it was too expensive to do such a retheme, to which Favreau responded that they need to spend money to make money.

Leaving us on that hopeful note, I hope that we hear some news about the Galactic Starcruiser and the future of Lucasfilm soon.

May the Force be with you and with Disney.
